- Description
- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part. 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for 3 each Flextracked Heavy Duty Brushcutters.(Gyrotrac GT-18 XP or equivalent). The specifications include, but are not limited to the following requirements: This machine must met all SAI ROPS/FOPS requirements. It consists of a maneuverable heavy duty Toma-Ax, or equivalent, cutting head mounted on a lightweight, but powerful flextracked tractor with wide pads for low ground pressure. The hydraulics and reservoir must be designed into the machine. The machine must have a minimum of 14 inches of ground clearance and be highly maneuverable. This is a small business set-aside. Tentative issue date for RFQ is August 3, 2001. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFQs and Purchase Orders. You must register in EC at web site http://ideasec.nbc.gov. If you have any questions pertaining to this web site, please call 703-390-6633. Prior to registering, each company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet number. You may obtain this number free of charge at web site http://dnb.com. After registration, all contractors will be able to view posted solicitations and awards and submit quotes on line. This will be your only means of obtaining this solicitation/award. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Thus, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of same. All contractors with access to the Internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award. Telephone requests will not be accepted. See Note 1.*****
