Description

It is the purpose of this solicitation to secure the services for chainsaw work on selected areas of the Fremont National Forest South Zone (Bly and Lakeview Ranger Districts). The work includes pretreatment for underburning (thinning), culturing old growth, and bucking and lopping. This will be a multi-year indefinite quantity contract with a $150,000 minimum amount of work to be ordered anytime over the next 5 years and a maximum $500,000 amount of work that may be ordered. This project will be set aside for total small business HUBZone certified contractors. Award will be on a best value basis. Expected issue date is August 15 and expected open date is September 6, 2001 at close of business. Work is expected to begin in September, 2001.
