- Lease of three High Pack air compressors, with the following characteristics: five stage, direct air cooled, oil lubricated reciprocating compressors with crankshaft driven oil pump, low oil pressure gauge, full flow oil filter, inlet air filter, intercoolers and aftercooler, separators, safety valves, gauges, drain valves, and shall operate at 75 hp, 1800 rpm, 3-phase 60 hertz, 450 volt electric motor. Quantity of three (3) each. Compressors to provide a minimum discharge pressure of 4500 to 5000 PSIG of high pressure air. Minimum air flow output capacity must be 250 pounds of air per hour. Maximum discharge air temperature less than 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Compressors that are multi-V-belt driven must have an adjustable motor slide base and OSHA type drive guards. Start and stop operation controlled by a discharge pressure switch. Compressor skid must include a hazardous material spill containment boundary in the case of an oil spill. Currently 3 containment housing are available with dimensions of 12 ft x 8 ft x 9 ft. Monthly lease of the compressors to include all associated maintenance and repair. Period of performance will be a 12-month base period, commencing on or about 1 October 2001, and four one-year option periods. FOB Destination to Trident Refit Facility, Bangor, Silverdale, WA. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under "Business Opportunities" and solicitation number "N00406-01-R-5220". The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
