Description

SOLICITATION NOTICE (supercedes Pre-Sol notice 50R918 dated July 16, 2001) The Solicitation will be issued on August 1, 2001 and available at the eps website. The bids are due on August 30, 2001. A pre-bid conference and site visit has been scheduled for August 15, 2001 (see the solicitation for further information). The cut off date for receipt of questions prior to bid is August 20, 2001. This acquisition includes but is not limited to furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools, transportation, equipment, services and incidentals necessary to repair/replace/install roofing. The buildings affected by this contract are miscellaneous type buildings located at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia located on MCB, Quantico. These buildings may or may not be occupied. Work consists of, but is not limited to removing and disposing of existing roofing systems, flashing, counterflashing, cants, curbs, fascia, drip edge, roof insulation, decking, gutters and downspouts, blocking, and other incidental related work. The new work includes, but is not limited to, the repair of various roofing systems and installation of completely new roofing systems, flashing, counterflashing, cants, curbs,roof insulation, roof decking (as required), raising curbs, drains, gutters, and downspouts, and other incidental related work which provides a complete and usable facility.The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract with a base period of performance of one year and two one year options. The type of pricing arrangement is firm, fixed-price. This acquisition will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The magnitude of this proposed project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. There will be a minimum guarantee of $25,000.00. for the base period. The SIC code is 1671. The NAICS code is 235610. The small business size standard is $11.5 Million average annnual revenue for the previous three years.All relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings, all amendments, will be issued electronically and can be downloaded free of charge via the Internet Workd Wide Web at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil under solicitation notice N62477-01-B-1029. There will be no hard copies of the solicitation issued.
