Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; proposals are requested based on this notice. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation is issued as Request for Proposal number 222-01-2012(P). The requirement is submitted as a sole source for the purchase of a Xenobiotic Detection System -- CALUX Bio-Assay Kit for TEQ Determination of Dioxins/Furans and PCBs to quickly screen a large number of feed samples for dioxin and dioxin like compounds at less than 0.1 pg/g limits of detection. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26, dated MAY 16 2001. REQUIREMENT: Quantity 1 each, CALUX Bio-Assay Kit for TEQ Determinatin of Dioxins/Furans and PCBs, to include 1 each of the following items: a. License, b. Training of one scientist, c. Technology Transfer including Standard Operating Procedure for animal feeds, d. Purchase of Laboratory Equipment, e. Set-up of Laboratory Equipment, f. Validation that in-house Laboratory Equipment is working properly and g. Continual Technical Support. To be delivered FOB Destination within 60 days after award of a purchase order. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition: FAR provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (OCT 2000). Offerors must include with their proposal a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001). The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001) and FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (MAY 2001).
