- Description
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with URG Corporation, 116 S. Merritt Mill Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 for a Semi-Volatile Organic Aerosol Sampler (URG-3000DB). The aerosol sampler device includes the following: 1) One #30 Aluminum Cyclone, 16.7Lpm 2.5 um (URG-2000-30ENB); 2) One 27" Gooseneck Adapter, (URG-2000-01J-B); 3) Two Aluminum Adapters, #30 Male Threads to 52mm ID (URG-2000-30-52); 4) Two 52mm x 285mm 8 Channel Glass Annular Denuders (URG-2000-30CF); 5) One Aluminum Adapter, 52mmID to 52mmID (URG-2000-30-52A); 6) Three 90mm Aluminum Filter Packs (URG-2000-30FJ); 7) One Teflon Adapter (URG-2000-30AE-5); 8) One Insulated Sampling Box; 9) Flow Controller and Data Acquisition System that operates with customer supplied computer; and 10) One sampling pump, 100Lpm, Volumetric Flow Accuracy +/-10%. Delivery is required within 6 weeks after receipt of order, fob destination to Research Triangle Park, NC. EPA believes that URG Corporation is the only vendor capable of satisfying the requirement. The circumstance permitting "Other than full and open competition" is FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". All interested parties who believe they can provide the required items should submit a written proposal within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334516, which has a size standard of 500 employees to qualify as a small business, is applicable. The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provide the aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored.
