Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce requires a dual electromagnetic reverberation chamber system. The system will consist of two independent reverberation chambers connected by a common wall. Approximate dimensions for Chamber A: 23'x20'x22' high (7m x 6.1m x 6.7m), one 4'x6'door, one 9'x9' door. Approximate dimensions for Chamber B: 18'x16.5'x14' high (5.5m x 5.03m x 4.27m) and one 4'x7' door. The Contractor will be required to build and install the system in Boulder, Colorado. Additional specifications will be provided with the written solicitation. Performance (i.e., solid, verifiable references for similar products) is more important than price. This procurement will be processed in accordance with the procedures allowed at FAR Subpart 13.5. It is intended that a hard-copy solicitation with drawings will be issued during the week of August 6, 2000. Anticipated due date for offers will be August 30, 2001.
