Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) intends to issue a solicitation and negotiate a contract no later than September 30 ,2001, with the Photo Etch Division of Airco Industries at 1400 Henderson Street, Ft. Worth, TX, (817) 332-3806, to acquire three Up Front Control Assemblies (UFCA) for the F/A-18 Tactical Operational Flight Trainer, 2F132A . One each UFCA (Part No. 507604S) will be delivered to Oceana Naval Air Station (NAS), Lemoore NAS and Atsugi, Japan 8 months after contract award. Photo Etch is the original equipment manufacturer of the UFCA and is the only known source for an UFCA that will properly interface with existing trainer equipment. Small businesses that have items that may be used in the UFCA are encouraged to contact Photo Etch regarding subcontract opportunities. Among other components used in each UFCA are keypads, circuit cards and LED displays. This is a one-time buy for initial spares. See Note 22.
