N68950-01-S-3762, TIMBER SALE of approximately 596,730 board feet of standing hard wood timber. The scope includes cutting and harvesting of 596,730 board feet at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN. The Government intends on issuing this solicitation through the use of the Internet. All prospective offerors/buyers and plan rooms must register on the website. The entire solicitation will be available for viewing and downloading at http://www.esol.navfac.mil on 28 July 2001. The official planholders list will be maintained and can be printed from the website. Any amendments will be posted on the website for downloading. This will be the only method of distribution of any amendments. It is the offeror's/buyer's responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments of this solicitation. Date for bid opening of this sale is 6 September 2001. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted prior to sale opening.
