Description

Bi-State Development Agency is requesting bids to obtain a general contractor to perform necessary construction services for a Maintenance Complex. The selected general contractor shall be required to work with the National Park Service in addition to working with the Bi-State Development Agency's and the Design Consultant. Beginning August 1, 2001, copies of this solicitation 01-SB-2744-DR may be obtained through the Agency by contacting Ms. Deborah Rowey, Contracting Specialist, at (314) 982-1400 Ext. 1363. The cost for a set of plans and contract documents is $100.00. This cost is non-refundable. Interested bidders must provide either a certified check, money order, or cashiers check payable to Bi-State Development Agency in the amount indicated above. Written requests including arrangements for pick up for plans and documents should be addressed to Ms. Deborah Rowey, Mail Stop 131, 707 N. First Street, St. Louis, MO 63102. Upon receipt of the certified check, money order, or cashiers check, the Agency will forward the set(s) of plans and documents via regular U.S. mail, or the requester may make arrangements to pick up the set of plans at the Agency. Any requestor desiring to have a set(s) of plans and documents mailed via Federal Express, will be responsible for the shipping cost; therefore, must provide a Federal Express account number. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal of twenty percent (20%) has been recommended for this project. The Agency is committed to maximizing DBE participation; therefore all Bidders are strongly encouraged to afford these firms the maximum opportunity to participate as partners. All DBE firms are invited to fully participate in this procurement as a primary Offeror or as a partner with another firm. All interested bidders are suggested to attend the Pre-Bid Conference. A site visit will be conducted immediately following the pre-bid conference.
