Description

17. The contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, and necessary equipment to provide Inspection, Testing & Preventative Maintenance for Fire Alarm/Suppression Systems at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Specifically, the contractor shall inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance on fire suppression & alarm systems IAW NFPA requirements for certification purposes. Preventative Maintenance work shall consist of lubrication of parts to include repairing and replacing worn parts. Automatic sprinkler and standpipe systems shall be maintained back to the main water distribution system, including backflow preventer, post indicator valves, check valves, and waterflow meters. Inspection and testing shall include checking air and water pressure, draining low points in dry pipe systems, trip test dry pipe valves. Fire pumps shall be checked for fluid level, batteries, oil, filters, bearings, stuffing boxes and motor controllers. Fire Alarm/Halon System shall be tested and inspected to include the major receiving equipment, all signal recording devices, as well as an visual inspection of all alarm equipment. Equipment to be tested, inspected, and have preventative maintenance performed is at various locations throughout the installation. NAICS is 561621/$9 Million. This acquisition is subject to the availability of funds. A base year with two option periods is contemplated. Fort Campbell is using the internet to advertise and post requirements.
