Description

This requirement was initially advertised in the Commerce Business Daily on or shortly after July 13, 2001. This requirement was for career development and employability skills at various USDA Forest Service Job Corps Centers. The purpose of this amendment is to provide the following clarification: it is expected that the successful contractor will provide training for all Center staff (about 50 staff at each center) as well as approximately 200 students at each center. Following initial training, a small group of staff (4 -6) will be selected for additional training which will prepare them to be facilitators of the training for all new students. The successful contractor will be expected to provide technical and other assistance as well as additional training as needed. Additionally the contractor will serve as an ongoing resource for Center staff and students. Career or Life Skills include but are not limited to the following: Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, Consumer Health, Listening Skills, Interpreting Information, Communications -- Verbal and Non Verbal, Following directions, Teamwork, Time Management, Networking, Work Ethic, Stress Management, Initiative, Prioritizing, Organizing, Responding to Supervision, Satisfying Customers.
