Description

This is a modified design/build project. The project includes the construction of a War Reserve Material (WRM) storage facility with the maximum gross area for the entire project not to exceed 2,555 square meters. The building is divided into two primary areas, an administration area and a storage area. The administration area includes an office for five (5) personnel, a unisex toilet and shower, a janitor closet with utility sink, and an electrical/communications room. It is anticipated that the storage area will be functionally divided for vehicle storage in the eastern portion of the building and an aerospace ground equipment storage in the western portion of the building. The western portion will have a high bay consisting of approximately 580 square meters. The storage area bays will include a dehumidification system. Source selection procedures will be used and award of the contract is the best value to the Government. The evaluation factors are as follows: Factor A: Past Performance; Factor B: Experience/Qualifications; Factor C: Management Plan and Factor D: Small Business Utilization. The North American Idustry Classification System (NAICS)is 233310 with a size standard of $27.5 Million. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000-$5,000,000. The performance period is 580 calendar days from the date of award. Plans and specifications will be electronically available for downloading from NAVFAC E-Solicitation (ESOL) at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil on or about 15 August 2001.
