Description

This solicitation is being advertised as an 8(a) Business Set Aside. The NAICS CODE for this solicitation is 23591 , Size Standard is $11.5 Mil. The contractor shall provided all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation and supervision to Construct Training Shelter at New Leatherneck Square, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Work includes construction of pre-engineered structural steel frame with corrugated metal and translucent fiberglass roof panels supported on reinforced concrete footings, wood chip flooring system, lighting, exterior electrical distribution system, exterior lighting, grading, grassing, underground power and telephone connections, and incidental related work. The Government intends to issue the entire solicitation including plans and specifications on or about 21 August 2001. Viewing and downloading will be available at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Prospective Offerors must register themselves on the web site. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFEROR'S MUST REGISTER IN THE CCR DATA BASE AT www.ccr.dlsc.dla.mil. LACK OF REGISTRATION IN THE CCR DATA BASE WILL MAKE AN OFFEROR INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. The official plan holder's list will be maintained and can be printed from the web site. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. As an alternative to the web site, offerors may purchase copies of a compact disk (CD-ROM), containing the plans and specifications for an approximate fee of $15.00 from the Defense Automated Printing Services (DAPS), 2825 Avenue D, Suite B, North Charleston, SC 29408-1802.
