Description

(i) THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION, QUOTE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. (ii)DOIMIS-1211-0022 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. (iv)This RFQ is an unrestricted acquisition. NAICS is 421430 with a size standard of 500 employees. Period of performance is 01September2001 -- 31July2002. Vendor to provide technical telephone support twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) day per week to provide informational assistance and to answer questions regarding troubleshooting, configuration, or any support related topic as it relates to the use of cabletron spectrum, metrix winwatch and remote control IT software. Vendor is to provide software updates, upgrades, and telephone assistance for the installation of upgrades. Vendors must be authorized Cabletron resellers for SPECTRUM Protection Plans! Technical telephone support is to be available on a twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week to provide informational assistance and to answer questions regarding troubleshooting, configurations, or any support related topic as it relates to the use of Cabletron Spectrum software, Remote Control Agent, and Metrix WinWatch software. Vendor is to provide software updates and upgrades for the covered products listed this is to include an upgrade of Remotely Possible to Control IT on existing Winwatch Agent Packages. Provide telephone assistance for the installation of Upgrades. Vendor shall notify customer of software changes and Updates and any errors in Software Products. Provide a solution for any changes in any of the software that will affect the performance of the software.
