Description
The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to SGB Enterprises of Valencia CA for Multi-functional Simulation Displays. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3577. NAICS Code is 334119. These displays will be used specifically in a Flight Simulation System at Edwards AFB. The specifications for the 10" x 8" displays are: display type: AMLCD, display resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels, display area: 10" x 8", operation orientation: landscape, video operating rates: 49.88 KhZ Horizontal, 60.0 Hz vertical, operating power: 115 volts AC, environmental: suitable for military simulator, touch screen technology: resistive matrix, RS232 output, mechanical packagining: must be able to mount the displays side by side such that there is less than 1/2" between the two displays. Also must have the ability to add bezel buttons at a later date. The specifications for the 4" x 3" displays are the same except for the following: display resolution: 640 x 480 pixels, display area: 4" x 3", video operating rate: 31.88 Khz Horizontal, 60.0 Hz vertical, mechanical packaging: mountable above the 10" x 8" displays with no more than 1" between the 4" x 3" and the 10" x 8" displays. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 20 Aug 2001. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time on the posted close date. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, AFFTC/PKS (Michele Cameron), 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Bldg. 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all responses received before the due date published in this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on, or before the closing date. Telephone request to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
