Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is attempting to identify responsible vendors that can provide nationwide software upgrades and maintenance support. SSA owns 72 licenses consisting of the following Sterling Commerce Software products:55 Licenses of Connect:Direct for Mainframes (MVS/HUB, MVS/ARS, MVS/NW, MVS/SDF, MVS/ESF and MVS/VSE); 17 Licenses of Connect:Direct for Personal Computers (Netware, DOS, OS2, Tandem, OS/400, Windows NT and UNIX). SSA plans to upgrade the above MVS products to OS/390. Sterling Commerce is the only known source capable of providing upgrades and maintenance support for these proprietary software products. Other organizations processing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA contract information) within 5 calendar days from the date of this publication.
