Description

The Bureau of Reclamation is interested in receiving information relating to site work and completion of the roadway improvement to U.S. Highway 93 bridges at Hoover Dam and Powerplant, Arizona -- Nevada. This RFI is issued to request input from firms pertaining to the requirements in the Statement of Work (SOW) for the performance of the work and the total price to perform the work identified in the SOW. Comments and suggested revisions to the SOW will be accepted. Information received through this RFI may be utilized by the Government and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No claim to the Government will be considered for the use of any information you submit as a result of this RFI. In addition, firms responding to this RFI shall bear all risk and expense of any resources used to provide the requested information. Principal components of the work include the following: 1) Removing existing elastomeric expansion devices and furnishing and installing new elastomeric expansion devices for the segmented bridge (roadway realignment bridge) and the box girder bridge (roadway bridge section); 2) Remove existing; furnish and install new steel plate expansion dam for the triangle bridge (approach bridge); 3) In order to smooth out the transitions, remove and replace the pavement adjacent to the expansion joints at each end of the joint for the roadway segmented bridge (realignment bridge) and the box girder bridge (roadway bridge section); 4) Remove and replace the entire asphalt surface and underlying sheet membrane waterproofing system for the box girder bridge (roadway realignment bridge).
