Description

The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Quotations for the Tally Lake BMP (Best Management Practices) on the Tally Lake Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. The project consists of the reconstruction of 4.26 miles of road. Work involves installation of culverts -- some in small streams; construction of catchbasins and outlet ditches; construction of drain dips and shaping of drain sags; loading, hauling, and machine-placement of riprap; loading, hauling, and spot placement of crushed aggregate surfacing; and seeding, fertilizing, and dry mulching of disturbed areas. Additionally, there are erosion control measures such as riprap at drainage outflows, straw bales for sediment control, and installation of silt fences. Issue date, August 15, 2001. Contract time, complete by October 23, 2001. Notice to Proceed is estimated to be issued September 24, 2001. The Government price estimate range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
