Description

The work to be performed will consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct miscellaneous renovations and repairs to the Pine Ridge Hospital, Pine Ridge, South Dakota. The work consists of the installation of new engine heaters, new hotwell tanks, piping and pumps for the emergency generators; replacement of vinyl flooring with carpet in seven OB rooms; resolution of efflorescence problem on Central Plant walls; modifications to HVAC to correct excessive heat load generated by UPC in ICU Equipment Room installation of new handrails at loading dock to comply with OSHA requirements; modifications to loading dock to accommodate mobile cat-scan unit; reseal masonry surfaces as required; repair west loop road ditch erosion; provide modifications to humidity control in three Operating Rooms; provide modifications to humidity control in Laboratory; and replacement of existing boiler smokestacks. The Plans and Specifications use International System of Units (SI) metric equivalent measurements. Project completion time is estimated to be 180 calendar days after a Notice to Proceed. Estimated construction cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The proposed contract listed herein is set aside for 51% Indian owned, controlled and operated firms under authority of the Buy Indian Act. In accordance with the Public Health Service Acquisition Regulation Paragraph 380.503.(e), not more than fifty (50) percent of the work to be performed under a prime contract awarded ppursuant to the Buy Indian Act shall be sub-contracted to other than Indian firms. For this purpose, work to be performed does not include the provision of materials, supplies or equipment. Award is subject to the availability of funds. A pre-solicitation notice is being prepared concurrently with this synopsis.
