- Description
- This proposed procurement is unrestricted. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code 2819/NAICS 325188; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Liquid chlorine shall be delivered in one ton steel cylinders each containing 2,000 lbs of chlorine. Chlorine shall be the quality for potable water purification purposes as detailed in the AWWA B301 specifications. The liquid chlorine shall be and not less than 99.5% pure by volume as determined by analyzing the chlorine as set forth in the current AWWA B301 specifications. It shall not contain any hexachlorethane or other wax producing impurity, which will cause fogging of the chlorinator flow meters or gumming of valves and the moisture content shall not exceed 150 ppm or 0.015% by weight. Contract is for a one year period beginning 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. The total estimated amount is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors' requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. In order to comply with Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract.
