Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii)The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation, number is 41702-013. (iii)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-26. (iv)This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 422690, the small business size standard is 100 emploees. (v)Item 1: WATER SOFTENER SALT, PELLETS ONLY, 50 LB/BAG, DELIVER PALLATIZED. 12000 BAGS. (vi)Preferred payment will be by government credit card. (vii) This is an idefinite quantity/ definite delivery solicitation. Deliveries shall be on a "ON CALL BASIS" approximately one delivery per month. Orders shall be called in by Thursday for delivery the following week. Orders will be placed by the semi load -- approximately 900 bags per month. Delivery shall be to the Federal Correctional Institution, East Arkona Road, Institution Warehouse, Milan, Michigan 48160. (viii)Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix)Price and Past Performance shall be the evaluation factors for this solicitation.
