- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ F61646). The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Clause (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 3089 and the North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code for his acquisition is 326199. This requirement is set aside for small businesses. The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order for packing crates with the following specifications. (1) Quantity 2000 crates -- the crates shall be made of propylene plastic and the weight of the crates shall be 10.0 pounds. The crates shall have internal dimensions of 24 x 16 x 13 (inches). The crates shall have a wall thickness of 0.135 inches. The crates shall have attached lids and shall have ergonomically designed handles. The crates shall be waterproof and shall have lockdown/securable lids. The crates shall be stackable/nestable (able to hold up to 700 pounds on top of each crate). (2) Quantity 500 Plastic Dollies -- the crate dollies shall be made of polypropylene plastic and weigh 8 pounds. The crate dollies shall be made of polypropylene plastic with four ? 4 inch soft rubber caster wheels. The dimensions of the crate dollies shall be 28 x 18 (inches). The crate dollies shall be able to be cross-stacked and chimney stacked. The crate dollies shall be able to support up to 750 pounds. (3) Quantity 5,000 Impressions on the crates and dollies -- the crates and the crate dollies shall have hot stamping logo on both sides (logo will be provided to the selected contractor). The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Electronic Funds Transfer. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirement shall submit written quotations by mail or fax (301/827-7039).
