Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate and award a single source fixed price supply type contract with Honeywell Defense & Space Inc., Tempe, AZ for repair parts used in the repair of the AGT 1500 Turbine Engine. The contract will be awarded pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirement. Honeywell Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and is the only known source capable of manufacturing the required parts to repair the AGT 1500 Engine. Honeywell Inc. maintains the specifications and design data for all required parts. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The estimated value of this contract is expected not to exceed $700,000.00.
