Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Requirements Type contract with Firm Fixed Unit Prices for Mortuary Services as required by the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. Anticipate one base year with provisions for four one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide supplies and services for care of remains of deceased personnel. Recipients of the services/supplies are outlined in NAVMEDCOMINST 5360.1 dated September 1987. The resulting contract will be from 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services will be incorporated into the solicitation. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7261 and the NAICS Code is 812210. Contract anticipated to be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency.
