Description

17. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to extend the ordering period for one year under BOA N00024-98-G-5105 with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Naval Electronics Surveillance Systems (LMC, NESS), 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057-0927. Orders will be issued for repair (including emergency repairs), refurbishment and maintenance for the AEGIS Weapon System MK7. Order for repair, refurbishment and maintenance effort will include incidental material and services such as repair parts (including INCO spares), components, accessories, associated tools, and necessary packing, packaging and marking. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). LMC, NESS is the developer and sole producer of AEGIS Weapons System MK7. It is the only company that possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other sour ce has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
