Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and FAR part 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Simplified acquisition procedures apply. This announcement constitutes a formal RFP and a written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-27. RFP #603-78-01 should be referenced on all proposals. The NAICS code for this procurement is 511210 and the small business size standard is $18Mil. This procurement is unrestricted. The VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Ave, Louisville KY 40206, has an emergent need for the following name brand or equal products: 1) Nonlinear Dynamics #NT5P, Progenesis analysis system (software package)to include -(1 ea)K7T34AUK, IBM Intellistation M Pro 6849 3D, P1111 1.7Ghz, S12MB Fire GL4, graphics Card, 48xCD ROM, 10/100 Ethernet Card, W2000/NT; (2 ea)#20L0277, 256MB 800 Mhz ECC 16D RDRAM RIMM Memory; (1 ea)00NB209, 36,4Gb 10000rpm Ultra 160 SCSI Hard Drive; (1 ea) 17" Monitor. Proposals must include delivery, installation, on station training, one year of technical support, and one year of updates. Contract award will be based on the following evaluation factors listed in their order of priority: 1) Capability of software to perform automated analysis of two-dimensional gel electrophoresis images; 2) past performance of software & hardware offered; 3) delivered price.
