Description

The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center -- San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to issue a solicitation to provide services for the Technical Information Division (TID). The services are currently being provided by Government personnel, were announced for commercial activity cost comparison study in accordance with OBM Circular A-76. The intent of the study is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing the services. It is anticipated that this requirement will be solicited under full and open competition. The proposed contract will be a hybrid completion type contract with a combination of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) pricing arrangement for a base period of one (1) year and four (4) one (1) year option periods. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210, Facilities Support Services, $5 Mil. Responses to this synopsis will not be accepted. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-01-R-0027 regarding this requirement will be released by September 30, 2001. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR Business Opportunities Home page under "Open Solicitations" at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil. The solicitation will only be available electronically at this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the SPAWAR Business Opportunities Home page for updates and new listings. A bidders mailing list will not be established. The Government will not compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the government. Interested parties are invited to view the "DRAFT" PWS posted at the SPAWAR web site under future opportunities number N66001-01-X-X777. The government will not provide hard copy (paper sets) or CD-ROM of the draft PWS. Comments on the draft PWS have been previously requested and are not being accepted at this time. Interested parties are reminded that the draft PWS is a working document and is subject to revision before official solicitation. Any changes made will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. Matters posted on the web site are not terms of the solicitation unless the solicitation is written or amended to include such matters.
