Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), DHHS, intends to award a twelve-month sole source simplified acquisition to Hinton Hoytt & Associates. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to coordinate the convening of two meetings of the technical expert groups (TEG), conference calls and committee meetings. The contractor shall coordinate convening TEG meetings and mechanisms for communicating with members of the TEG. These services will be based on the conceptual framework created by the contractor for TEGs in 1999 and the proprietary information gained from the management support provided to implement the development of the TEGs. The closing date is August 28, 2001. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may submit a capability statement which demonstrates the ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available; therefore, requests for such will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer shall proceed with award to Hinton Hoytt & Associates. NAICS:541990
