Description

The work to be performed consists of rental and delivery of three (3) Sludge Boxes, within 48 hours after award, to the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel in Leadville, Colorado. The sludge box shall have rated capacity of not less than 20 cu/yds and not greater than 30 cu/yds on site at any given time. During specified months as stated in the specifications, more run offs will be required on site. Removal, transportation and disposal of filled sludge boxes shall be transported to an approved site for disposal or recycling. Copies of the transporter's DOT license for transportation, the EPA ID number, or State permit number, for each treatment, storage, disposal facility (TSDF) and proposed method of treatment, disposal, or recycling, including the associated TSDF address, telephone number, and point of contract and notice of any specified State or local permits (or notices) required for the transportation treatment and/or disposal or recycling of the materials shall be submitted with the Contractor's quote documents. This contract will be for one (1) year with four (4) options for an additionl year per option. The Government retains the option to renew or deny. Contractor can expect to haul at least five (5) hazardous loads of sludge each year. The Request For Quotes (RFQ) will be made available on or around September 4, 2001, and quotes are due in this office on or before Close of Business (COB) September 21, 2001. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This is a total 8(a) Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 4953. The North American Industry Classification System code is 562219. The Small Business Size Standard is $10.0 million.
