Description

This a requirement for the Repair/Overhaul of F100-PW229 engine Combustion Chambers in support of F15/F16 aircraft. Predominant Material in this procedure is Nickel Alloy. Size/Dimensions is 24" X 10" Form/Fit/Function: The combustion chamber assy is used in the gas generator section of the F100PW229 engine to mix and burn atomized fuel. It has been determined that that it is unreasonable to specify the standards for qualification in accordance with FAR 9.202. Approved Source is: Pratt & Whitney San Antonio Item Repair, San Antonio Texas. A requirements type contract is contemplated with a basic ordering year and three 1 year options to extend the ordering period. Best Estimated Quantities: Basic year: 14 ea; 1st Option Period 12 each; 2nd Option Period is 15 each; 3rd Option Period is 14 each. Notes 23 and 26 apply. Government Furnished Material applies. To be considered for award, a contractor must be an approved and qualified source of repair at the time of award.
