Description

THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION -- The Contractor shall provide technical services and support to design, engineer, construct and test two mobile production units, (crash carts) used to provide television coverage of House committee hearings. Each unit or "cart" may actually consist of more than one container, box or portable rack for ease of transportation, operation and storage of the equipment described below. The Contractor shall also procure the equipment delineated below which will be transported on the carts. The Contractor shall provide two (2) days of operational training to House Recording Studio staff on equipment provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall warrant all work for six (6) months after the carts become operational and acceptable to the House Equipment used must meet, support and conform to FCC broadcast standards and UL certification. The Contractor shall perform the following tasks in the design, engineer, installation, test and support two mobile production units for the House Recording Studio. The Contractor shall equip each cart with four (4) robotic camera/lens, heads, cables and tripods. Each cart will be equipped with a video switcher; remote camera/lens controls. Video monitors, character generator, rack mounting devices for equipment, video and audio testing & monitoring equipment, analogue and digital conversion equipment, power supply, tally system, video tape recorders, audio & video frame synchronizer and portable protective carts for housing and moving equipment.
