- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for 8 each, portable, skid mounted Abrasive Blast and Recovery Systems in support of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS). The system shall be used to abrasive blast metal surfaces with steel grit to bare metal, recover and classify the used grit, and return the reusable portion of the grit to the system for further use. The blast machine shall be a single chamber unit with the following characteristics: 1) ASME-Section VIII coded tank, certified for a working pressure of 150 PSIG (minimum); 2) Four abrasive blast outlets; 3) Capable of servicing three operator nozzles at the same time; 4) Four pinch valves with 3-inch (minimum ) stroke; 5) Four abrasive metering valves; 6) One 3-inch (minimum) compressed air supply valve. The units shall be delivered to PSNS, Bremerton, WA no later than 16 weeks after contract award. The acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, and will be a 100% small business set-aside. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 21 Aug 01, and close on or about 31 Aug 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or equivalent is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.=20
