Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has a requirement to replace the deteriorated roadways at the NIFC complex. Severe cracking has occurred over the past 25 years, leading to the break down of the asphalt surface along curbs, gutters and parking areas. Work shall consist of: (a) removing, disposing of, repairing, and resurfacing roadway areas, (approx. 6,757 sq ft), (b) removing and repairing the base surface at an entry and installing new asphalt at that gate (approx. 4,641 sq ft), (c) grading a parking area surface and applying asphalt to the surface (approx. 11,426 sq ft), and patching the asphalt where it joins new concrete (approx 690 sq ft). All work shall be completed by November 16, 2001. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside and NAICS 23411 (SIC 1611), Highway and Street Construction, Except Elevated Highways applies. The small business size standard is $27.5 million for the past three fiscal years. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for award and Davis-Bacon labor rates apply. The NIFC complex is located in Boise, Ada County, Idaho. The estimated value of this requirement is less than $100,000. Only written offers will be accepted and it is anticipated award will be made by September 30, 2001.
