Description

REPAIR/RENOVATE OFFICE SPACES, BUILDINGS 251 AND 252, MAKALAPA, PEARL HARBOR, HAWAII. The project includes all design and construction necessary to repair and renovate the deteriorated conditions in Buildings 251 and 252 including the second floor of Building 252 and the post office on the first floor of Building 251. These are Commander in Chief and U.S. Pacific Fleet (CINCPACFLT) administrative facilities. The project includes correcting foundation settlement and slope instability, structural upgrade of the building to meet current seismic and wind requirements, termite damage repairs, interior renovations for a more efficient floor plan to meet user requirements, upgrade accessibility to meet UFAS standards, correct fire NFPA code violations, repairs to the plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems of the building. Demolition includes removal of a concrete vault, exit stairways, canec ceiling, and asbestos containing floor tiles, mastic and window caulking. Important historical architectural features need to be retained or duplicated to preserve the historical aspects of this building. This is a firm fixed-price procurement. This procurement is unrestricted. The budget ceiling is $12,425,000. The contract performance period is 720 calendar days. THE NAICS CODE FOR THIS PRCUREMENT IS 23332 AND THE ANNUAL SIZE STANDARD IS $27.5 MILLION. This is a source selection procurement requiring both technical and price proposals. Contract award will be made to the offeror proposing the best value to the Government from a technical and price standpoint. Price is considered approximately equal to the technical evaluation factors. Technical evaluation factors are as follows: (1) Experience/Past Performance; (2) Experience of Key Personnel; (3) Management Plan; and (4) Small Business Utilization. The Request for Proposal (RFP), CD-ROM only, will be available on or about 4 September 2001 for a non-refundable charge of $67.92. Also indicate if you are prime, subcontractor, or supplier. Mark the front of the envelope with the RFP No. Allow at least ten days for mailing from the date your request is received. Companies wanting the RFP to be sent via air express service must furnish their express service airbill label with the recipient's name, telephone no., company name, address, company's account no., and type of delivery filled in. Failure to provide any of the above information, as indicated, may delay the processing of your request and is at no fault of the Government.
