Description
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system to be considered for award. This synopsis is for the procurement of US topographic map data coverage from 1:20,000 through 1:100,000 scale inclusive, covering all 50 United States, commonwealths, and other territories. Sources are digital raster graphics, current as of 01Mar01, from USGS, TVA and the Teale Data Center. The 58,394 maps included in this series shall be delivered on standard ISO9660 CD-ROM media. The maps will be projected as UTM projection, WGS-84 datum. Map collars will be retained on the maps and all marginal information will be preserved. The map images will be delivered at 250 dots per inch resolution. Map images will be delivered as GeoTIFF images with Packbits compression and complete GeoTIFF tags suitable for use in the FalconView mapping application. GeoTIFF tags describing the neatline map area will be included to enable the software to correctly clip maps to the image area for mosaicing purposes. All GeoTIFF metadata information shall be provided in true WGS84 coordinates. Maintenance and support service shall provide four quarterly updates on CD-ROM to the same specification as the original data set. Each update shall include all updated digital raster graphics made available by the USGS in the previous quarter. Delivery shall be made in multiple shipments as data is available. The initial delivery shall occur four weeks from award; completed delivery within eight weeks. The License Agreement shall provide for internal distribution via copied media and local or wide-area network systems, and for its display on private or public web-sites. Emailed or Faxed proposals are acceptable. The POC is D. Manier, Contract Specialist, 314.263.4919x102. The fax number is 314.263.8024.
