- Description
- Hazardous Waste Removal Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and labor required for the disposal of hazardous waste at the following locations. VA Medical Center 2200 Fort Roots Drive North Little Rock, AR 72114 John L. McClellan Memorial Hospital 4300 West 7th Little Rock, AR 72205 Disposal include preparation & packaging on location, shipping and disposal in compliance with all existing laws and regulations of the United States including but not limited to , EPA Hazardous Waste Regulations in 40 CFR 260 et seq: EPA Storage and Disposal Regulations in 40 CFR 761 et seq:, Arkansas Hazardous Waste Management Code(latest edition) , Hazardous Material Transportation Regulations in 49 CFR 100 et seq; and laws and regulations of any state, country, township or municipal subdivision thereof or other governmental agency which may be applicable to the removal, transportation and disposal of the waste. The contractor shall obtain all permits, license, manifest and other forms of documentation required in order to comply with the above laws.. The objective of this contract is to dispose of hazardous waste by means of incineration, fuel blending, reclamation/recycling in an environmentally sound, timely manner in accordance with all Federal, State and Local requirements. Each facility generates approximately 1,000 2,000 lbs of hazardous waster per year and at least this much of non-regulated chemical waste. This is the type of waste that which typically comes from clinical and research laboratories. The contractor shall report all spills and personnel exposure during waste preparation, packaging, or shipping. The contractor shall be responsible for all spill and provide all labor, equipment, and personal protective equipment required for clean up. The contractor assumes all liability and responsibility for the hazardous waste produced by the VA once performance of work begins. The contractor will provide a Certificate of Disposal within 6 months of material pick up or will provide a written statement of status. The contractor shall provide 2 performances each contract period consisting of a pick up at each of the two facilities.
