Description

This project consists of transportation services and loading and spreading equipment for hauling soil to various locations throughout Craney Island, Portsmouth, VA for maintenance/repair services of existing earth containment dikes and haul roads at Craney Island Dredge Material Area in Portsmouth, VA for the U.S. Army Engineer District, Norfolk, Virginia. The contract duration is 280 calendar days for the base bid and 140 calendar days for each optional item, if exercised. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. SIC Code 4212 applies. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation is via the Internet. The solicitation will not be issued in paper format. Notification of amendments may be made by facsimile, floppy disk, compact disk and/or postings to the Internet. The media selected for solicitation amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, as separate notifications for each amendment may not be sent to planholders, bidders shall be responsible for monitoring the Internet for amendments.
