Description

Request for Proposal for High Definition Digital Television Cameras. The U.S. House of Representatives seeks to replace and upgrade its current television cameras used for House floor proceedings and studio operations in the U.S. Capitol Building. Eleven High Definition digital cameras are required. The new cameras will be Multi-Standard (1080i/720p capable). Of the eleven cameras, nine will be studio type and fitted with full servo HD 66x9.5 size lenses (exact size subject to change). The other two cameras will be portable and fitted with an HD 20x7.8 size lens. The studio cameras will use camera control units (CCUs), with Focus and Zoom controlled by the robotic camera control system. The portable cameras will use their own remote control capability. Contract Options include provision for Contractor installation, training and documentation and extended warranty. After receipt of proposals, capability demonstrations will be scheduled under working conditions on-site at the Capitol during the period September 4-15, 2001.
