Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Wilcoxon Research for accelerometers. The item required is a Model CM997 high frequency current modulation accelerometer, quantity of 110 each. The accelerometers are corrosion resistant, hermetic design, case isolated, radiation hardened, with a vibration limit of 500g and a shock limit of 5000g peak. The accelerometers range is 2.5g peak, with a sensitivity of 1mA/g.The frequency range response is +/- 5% 3-5000Hz, +/- 8% in the range 5kHz-10kHz and +/- 10% in the range 10kHz-20kHz. The resonance frequency, mounted is less than 42kHz. These accelerometers have been approved by NAVSEA. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 9/5/01.
