Description

The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, San Antonio, TX, intends to negotiate a sole-source cost-per-test contract with bioMerieux Vitek Inc, for the period of October 1, 2001 thru September 30, 2002 with 4 option year renewals. Cost per test will include the upgrade of the existing computer system for government owned Vitek 120 Analyzer, Vitek Colorimeter and a full service maintenance agreement for 4 years. NAICS code 325413 applies. This procurement is under the authority of 13.501(a). Contractor will provide all labor, parts and transportation required to perform scheduled and on-demand service visits on a 24 hour basis, 7 days per week, with a 24 hour response time. Current existing government owned Vitek system will work only with Vitek test kits/cards which bioMerieux is the only known source for these items. Tests to be included in this agreement are various types and quantities of Vitek Reagent Test Kits. All proposals received within 10 days of the date of this solicitation will be considered by the Government. Determination based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
