Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate on a sole source basis for continuation of services with the Center for Public Service Communications, 3221 North George Mason Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22207, for management of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and Pan-American Health Organization project (PAHO) entitled "CRID: Regional Disaster Information Center." The vendor shall continue to perform the following tasks: develop and maintain a tracking system to monitor status of project activities; convene with representatives of NLM and PAHO; prepare monthly status reports; organize and participate in a follow-up mission to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras to evaluate project progress; organize and convene with appropriate NLM, PAHO and CRID staff involvement, provide 2-3 one-week training sessions on-site at NLM and off-site; assist in the development of a project evaluation plan; ensure regular communication among NLM, PAHO, CRID and other project partners; and identify opportunities that arise during the project to maximize project benefit to NLM. The Center for Public Service Communications has extensive experience in the region and is able to communicate, identify and establish relationships with participating centers. This service will be procured under FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisitions.) This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsible and responsive sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide professional services as specified above. Responses should demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the government's requirements.
