Description

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, intends to enter into a five year, firm-fixed-price requirements-type contract with a contractor who will be responsible for certifying UNICOR?s factory in Phoenix, AZ as a QPL certified assembler for connectors. The contractor will be required to QPL certify existing equipment and/or provide equipment to manufacture QPL?d connectors and provide all necessary training/technical support to ensure UNICOR?s factory remains QPL certified. The contractor will provide all the necessary QPL?d components under the following mil-spec families for the assembly of connectors: Mil?C-38999 (Series I, III, and IV); Mil-C-26482 (Series II); Mil-C-83723 (Series I and III); and any potting compound and chemical agents required in the assembly of each military family. The required delivery of all parts will be within 120 calendar days or sooner after receipt of each delivery order. The contractor must be QPL certified prior to award. Award will be made on the overall best value to the Government. This is a pre-solicitation notice. Please see the solicitation posting.
