Description

This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source procurement to Van Ausdall & Farrar for software and hardware maintenance of our centralized, voicewriter dictation system. This equipment is proprietary and this vendor has the greatest knowledge of the equipment both hardware and software. This company did the wiring in our facility and knows the layout of our equipment configuration. This company also has the only compatible replacement parts available in this area should our equipment break down or malfunction. The NAICS code is 811212. This procurement will be done as a Commercial Item. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotes. No solicitation will be issued. The work mainly consist of providing preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling, adjusting) and replacing parts when needed on the storage module, VoiceWrite matrix, VoiceWrite channel module, VoiceWriter channel, CPU module, VoiceWriter telephone interface, video display terminal, printer high speed matrix, VoiceWriter digital station, workstation, printer 24-PIN dotmatrix, Hyundia computer, monitor, Lantastic starter, adapter, hard disk drive, modem, interface KXP519 and VoiceWriter hand microphone with light pen.
