Description

The USDA, ARS, U. S. National Arboretum (Arboretum) located at 3501 New York Avenue, NE, Washington D.C. has a requirement to purchase services for the planning and writing of an Interpretive Master Plan (Plan). The purpose of the Plan is to establish mission-based themes, concepts, and messages to create an educational framework for the visitor experience within the context of the Arboretum's Master Plan (2000), Signage Master Plan (1994), and Strategic Plan (1994) The contractor shall work in conjunction with the Director and the Education and Visitor Services Unit Leader to plan and conduct an on-site workshop. The workshop shall consist of a group of approximately 50 staff members and stakeholders selected by the Arboretum. The workshop shall provide additional ideas to create a written plan that: Identifies major themes, concepts, and messages detailing their relevance to the Arboretum's mission. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Request for Quotation Number 31B7-CAS-120 will be available to offerors on or about August 23. Interested offerors should submit a written request to the address above to the attention of the Contracting Officer or requests may be faxed to Carol Sisas 202-447-2811 or e-mailed to sisasc@ars.usda.gov. The contract is a firm fixed-price contract. Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria (1) past performance:.Past performance with a submittal of 5 references demonstrating similar experience. (2) Final plan shall be completed within 6 months of award of contract (3) price. No telephone requests for this solicitation package will be accepted.
