Description
The Feasibility Study for the Integration of the Common Avionics Architecture System into the Baseline CH-47F Avionics Architecture is planned as a sole source acquisition with The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense and Space Group, Stewart Avenue and Route 291, Philadelphia, PA 19143-0858. The Boeing Company has produced all helicopters and all major upgrades to the aircraft. Boeing is the only firm possessing the requisite tooling, engineering data and facilities necessary to produce the MH-47G. The study is necessary to decide which course of action to take in reference to incorporating the Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) into the baseline CH-47E avionics architecture. The purchase order will include a period of performance of 15 days from contract award date. This purchase order is releasable to U.S. firms only. Requests from U.S. firms must be submitted in writing to the above address and must include business size. All responsible U.S. sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The associated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541618. See Numbered Notes 22 and 26.
