DESCRIPTION: The General Services Administration/FTS Region 5 is announcing its intent to issue a procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for a sole source acquisition to Air Improvement Systems, Inc., 47298 Sunnybrook Lane Novi, Michigan 48374. It is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. Also, substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition will also occur. The agency has used Air on a previous effort that uniquely qualifies them to perform the MOBILE modeling taskings. Air is familiar with the data and database. Air also has extensive experience using EPA's software applications. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals submitted by the designed response date. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
