Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS SOLICITATION for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation No. Q5190010012 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. NAICS code is 332321; size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. This will be a firm fixed-price contract for the National Park Service, Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Hyde County, Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. Supply and install storm shutters for seasonal houses, ranger office and visitor center. EVALUATION FOR AWARD: Award will be made to the responsible firm whose quote is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Other factors for this solicitation include past performance of the quoter. Past performance information may be based on the Government's knowledge of and previous experience with the quoter, or other reasonable basis. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Furnish all labor, transportation, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to supply and install storm shutters meeting the following requirements: (1)The shutters quoted shall be foam filled rolling storm shutters, either powder coated and baked roll formed aluminium or extruded powder coated and baked aluminium. The cover hoods and tracks to be manufactured from aluminium. Manual roll up unit operators to be mounted inside. Any exterior lumber used to be salt treated and exterior screws to be stainless steel. (2)Color: brown. (3) Sizes and quantities: WINDOWS: 3' X 4'9" -- 48; 3' X 3' -- 4; 3'2" X 4' 9" -- 20; 2' X 4' -- 12; 2' X 2' -- 24; 4'2" X 3'3" -- 5; 2'8" X 3'3" -- 3; 3'2" X 4'1" -- 6; 6' X 4' -- 1; Doors: 3' 0" X 6'8" -- 11; 5'9" X 6'8" -- 1. Total of 123 windows and 12 doors. INSTALLATION: To be accomplished during the hours of 7 A.M. to 4 P.M. Monday through Friday not including Federal Holidays.
