Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to solicit proposals for DT-592() Transducers. First Article Acceptance Testing will be required. Three (3) first article DT 592 ( ) transducers are required. The Government anticipates an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) five-year requirement for these transducers. An order quantity of 1to 50 units is expected during each production year. Since this is an ID/IQ requirement, total yearly production quantities are not known at this time. The award will be made using a Best Value methodology. The evaluation factors are Technical Approach, Past Performance, and Price. The proposed acquisition is unrestricted. The resulting contract will include Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions. The transducers will be built to a performance specification, not built to a print. The Critical Item Product Specification (CIPS) appendix is classified as Confidential and will be provided to those who request it and have been cleared by NUWC Security. The unclassified portion of the CIPS will be sent to those companies who request it provided they are U.S. companies. The CIPS will be provided upon request only when the the solicitation is made available. Estimated solicitation release date is 10/03/01. NAICS IS 334511.
