Description

In support of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) research and development effort, DARPA has requirements for the collection, analysis, formatting, and delivery of high resolution terrain data and high accuracy survey information of selected areas for the purpose of producing detailed terrain models and topographic maps. To fulfill the requirements, DARPA intends to enter into a task order contract with Aerotec, LLC, Bessemer, Alabama, on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The areas of interest include, but not limited to, laser-scan (lidar) high accuracy and resolution survey data, high resolution color digital imagery, and airborne multi-spectral scanner (AMS) imagery. Aerotec, LLC, is the only source known to the Government with the capabilities, technologies, experiences and personnel in accomplishing the subject effort within the Government cost and schedule constraints. This Notice is intended for information purpose only and not a Request for Proposals. However, interested sources proposing to supply the specified services must submit a written qualification statement clearly establishing the capability to meet the above requirements within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. The qualification statements will only be used to determine the need for competitive bids.
